This blog features the thoughts of the man who is the physical embodiment of The Broke Life. The broke life doesn’t indicate his financial state but more his lifestyle. His way of life if you will. One of the first practitioners of the Broke Life, Jesus Christ himself did not indulge in life’s splendors. He was not broke but he chose to live a simple life. He probably knew then that money corrupts the soul and to preoccupy ones mind with a strong emphasis on money for extended period of times will in time corrupt the human soul.
A practitioner of the broke life might look like a bum or he might actually be a bum, but trust me when the times appropriate his swagger will reach a 100, 1000, trillion and you will be amazed at his keen sense of style. He might look hungry but trust me his stomach is always full. He might look hike his going to rob you but be assured he’s only asking for directions. You might perceive him as an individual who never finished school but he might actually cause you to pick up a dictionary during a conversation. Looks can be deceiving.
By sharing my live experiences on this blog, the good the bad,the worst and all the other shit I find interesting, I hope to build myself a community of Broke Lifers, loyal disciples who will spread the teachings. Just like Scientology but without the silly test and absurd fees. A lot of people live the broke life and can be considered broke lifers. Some might not admit it but they are in fact members of this community. If your life in some way lacked sufficient funds or was “broken” so to speak, than you also qualify to join this brotherhood of brokeness. If you endured pain and hardships that could crush a soul, you can now rejoice. If you lived the same life as me this blog might be the perfect way to deal with that shit. By experiencing my joy and pain you might one day look back on your life and say “You know what, shit was often fucked the fuck up but my life wasn’t all that bad”.
Pain and joy should always be enjoyed in groups. Ever wondered why AA is a group thing. Because hearing other people talk about their fucked up life makes you actually feel better about your own.
So enjoy my tears, smile at my misfortune and laugh at all the funny shit I write.
